Is anyone out there (mainly teenagers) sending their shorts to festivals? I've shown some stuff at the local festival here in louisville, but nothing big. Does most teens who send their stuff out send it to a festival specifically for teens? or are their no age limits on some of the bigger ones? anyone win anything? Ahhh, I wish I knew about a festival/contest that had scholarships or grantmoney as prizes... that would be delicious.

Hey,
Last year we entered some things into the ITTMF (International Toronto Teen Movie Festival). There were about 150 shorts selected, and a few features, a few dozen commercials, and music videos. We came away in the top 10 with a continuous television screening on a Toronto youth channel. It is a kinda neat event as I understand, has a few major sponsors, and is probably the biggest youth event hosted in Canada, but it is international. Here is the website if you are interested, deadline is some time in July I think.

I don't know if the UK does "teen" festivals. Or even if they do they're probably very rare and up the other end of the country.
Thus meaning no, I haven't entered stuff into a teen festival, nor a normal "adult" festival as you might call it,
